What week is best for a 3D ultrasound to get the best result?
The best results come from scans taken between weeks 26 and 32 of pregnancy. At that gestational age the baby has enough subcutaneous fat for facial features to be clearly visible, and there is enough amniotic fluid for good acoustic separation. Week 28 typically gives the sharpest results.
